Rise is the coming of a new day. It is the opportunity to begin anew. It is the habits we build that ground our mornings. Rise can also be mounting waves that unsteady us, and the moments we decide to ride the waves and find joy in the challenges of life. The importance of recognizing our inherent worth, and sharing our experiences and strengths in problem solving solutions for better health and wellbeing on our own terms is what Rise is all about.

Rise Cognitive Solutions is situated on the west coast of Canada, and we acknowledge with respect the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples and W̱SIKEM First Nation on whose traditional territory we operate. These lands and waters inspire us daily to embrace the light of each new day and to be grateful for the energy instilled by nature. Health is certainly a journey in consort with nature, and finding the roots of ourselves in the busy-ness of modern life is so essential to grounding into a lifestyle that gives us meaning, purpose, and vitality.

The approach

Above all else, the approach at Rise Cognitive Solutions is person-centered and tailored to YOUR needs.

The health philosophy here mixes sociocognitive and systems theory approaches. This means we believe in the power of the individual to practice awareness and cultivate change for themselves, while also considering macro level factors that impact health behavior change.

So what are “cognitive solutions”?

This refers to the range of evidence-based tools and techniques with a problem-solving focus that come from various disciplines, including Kinesiology, Health Psychology, and Public Health, to move your vision into action. These can include mindfulness, stress reduction, habit breaking or building, and more.

Coaches here will always strive to approach your background and experience from a place of humility, where we work alongside you to learn and develop tailored solutions.
